{Marking}
Takumi has a thin frame that betrays a truly muscular stature. He has white skin with a mild tan, and soft, chocolate brown eyes. His hair is a short, choppy layered cut that falls just below his chin, and is also a light brown color. Takumi normally wears a simple, long sleeved black shirt and light tan cloth pants, along with a pair of brown hiking boots. His most notable item of clothing is a long white hooded cloak.. His skin is marred by a few pale scars, that seem to be deep scratches. On his right side on his back, he has what appears to be the kanji for ‘Life’ carved into his skin, just between the curve of his neck and his shoulder blade. It’s a small mark, about the size of palm and unlike his other scars has never seemed to heal over, always remaining a raw red.
Personality: It’s hard to diagnose Takumi’s exact personality..because it’s something of a split. At his most ‘normal’, Takumi can be a quiet individual, almost seeming meek. He’s a generally nice guy with a fair sense of justice, and does seem to care about others, but his various illnesses often get in the way. Because of it, he had very little confidence in himself and suffers from depression. Takumi’s an insomniac, and the dark circles that often appear under his eyes are a testament to his lack of sleep, as is a more fragile mental state. It’s not uncommon for him to be plagued by hallucinations or delusions and frequent headaches. Sometimes when he is in a worse state, he’ll refer to himself in the plural. Takumi doesn’t really seem to realize that he has these problems and is easily frustrated when it comes up.
On the other hand, there’s another side to his personality that seems to manifest as an almost different person, a manifestation of his animal side. When Takumi falls into this state, he becomes more feral and violent, almost to manic proportions. This ‘Takumi’ seems to be aware of his other self, and carries mostly disdain for it, mocking his counterparts faults and inability in a sneering and didactic way whenever he gets the chance. He’s easily more confident then Takumi, and fights with a bestial, berserker style. Takumi can’t remember anything of his time spent in the mind, but is often plagued by it’s voice and constant taunting. Sometimes it seems to help him, but only if it’s own well being is in danger. And unlike Takumi, this persona had total control over his Lycan side. Normally when it takes control, it sheds Takumi’s white cloak and travels in without it, finding it to be a symbol of his ‘weaker’ side’s desire to hide.
History: Takumi was born in a small secluded village deep within Tylwyth. It was a small, traditional place that wasn’t fond of people who weren’t born there. From the beginning, this became a problem. Takumi’s father was an outsider, and even though his mother was of fairly high born status their place in the village still dropped after their marriage. But still, things were fine for a while, and they continued their life in the village.
It wasn't until after Takumi was born that things seemed to get worse. His father became withdrawn and decidedly more..violent. Takumi was beginning to learn the certain fighting styles of the village and grew closer to his mother as time passed, but treating his father as a kind of stranger.
But all too soon, his father's behavior became darker, and eventually turned abusive toward Takumi and his mother. It went on and on, with his mother trying to protect her son and Takumi feeling responsible when she was injured. One night, it all became to much. Once again, his father was..hurting her, and Takumi snapped. Upset and confused, he took up one of his training daggers and attacked his father, killing him.
The village covered it up, because of Takumi's age and his mother's pleading. After his father's death things became almost better around the home, but without his father there to provide for them money became scarce and the village wasn't inclined to help. Takumi took up odd jobs in order to help his mother and worked hard where he could to help care for her.
He was bitten one night, while he was out training late. Because of a job he'd been forced to miss classes, and was trying to make up for it, even though his mother didn't want him to continue. The monster had stolen into the village, killing a number of guards and civilians before it reached him. He tried to fight it, but only ended up stumbling home, clutching a gaping wound in his side, having escaped a worse mauling.
The village refused to let it pass, not willing to risk keeping what Takumi would become in the village. His mother begged the elders to let him live, and instead of executing him he was banished, never to return to his home again. That night he left, desperate to get as far away as possible.
For a few months afterward he traveled restlessly, keeping away from most civilization but still suffering the effects of his transformations--and the toll it was taking on his mind.
Soon, Takumi came upon a small town, though it could hardly be called that. But it was welcoming..and reminded him of his home. But he had just gone through a moon and decided to stay the night. There he found a friend in a local girl, a practicing magic user named Emi. She was kind and they began spending more and more time together, becoming close. Unfortunatly..Takumi lost track of time.
It was too late when he realized that another full moon was upon him, and tried to put distance between himself, the town and Emi. He managed to get a far way into the forest before he began to transform, glad that at least she would be safe.
Until..out of the corner of his failing vision, he saw her, Emi..watching him from behind a tree.
No.
When he finally came back to himself, Takumi didn't recognize where he was. It was dark, cold..some sort of cellar. He was chained. There wasn't a speck of light in the place at all, and he didn't know how long it was until he finally heard someone.
It..was Emi.
She was smiling oddly, and told him what had happened. She had spelled him, brought him to this place. Chained him up. Told him that it was for his own good..that she'd take care of him, keep him from hurting himself.
She would bring him meals..talk to him, keep him company. Takumi asked, pleaded with her to let him go. He wouldn't stand this..being forced to live as some twisted little pet for her. He still turned every moon, caged in that dark place.
Over time, his mental health gradually worsened, and eventually Emi placed the seal on him so he couldn't harm himself. But the chains were loosening from each transformation..and soon, he found his hands free. Though by then..Takumi was no longer in control.
He waited until Emi came to bring him food, like clockwork. He killed her quickly, without care..and finally escaped. When Takumi awoke, he couldn't remember what had happened to Emi..or how he had escaped. But the seal still continued to plague him, and he knew that at least for now, he was finally free.
Powers:
Curse
The marking on his shoulder is actually a seal that prevents him from ending his own life when his thoughts take a suicidal turn. It often plagues him with a burning, itching feeling and if he attempts to kill himself or make no action to try to prevent something from causing his death, it activates and forces him to fight, and in most cases kill another person. Oddly enough though, his manic persona is not susceptible to the seal, passing it off as Takumi’s problem, not his.
As a werewolf, Takumi has the powers that are natural to the species. But, for some reason he is unable to form into the more simple, but larger wolf. Instead, he can only turn into the more monstrous, half form. When he’s like this, Takumi becomes much faster, stronger and durable, along with an increase in all his senses. Even in his human form, he has more advanced physical skill, though it’s still not on par when compared to that of his transformed self.

Weapons: Takumi has numerous daggers that he mostly uses for long range combat. His main weapon is a blade that resembles a claw, having a grip and three, sharp pronged blades that give it’s name. He’s also skilled in some martial arts and swordplay even if he doesn’t currently own one.
Weaknesses: Because of his minds fragility, Takumi has little to no control whatsoever over himself when he turns. He becomes vicious and feral, attacking friend or foe and is driven only by hunger and natural instinct. As such, he refuses to use this ability when he’s..mostly sane, and only truly worries when a full moon is near–when he has no choice. Takumi loathes what he is, and hates to be demeaned on the basis that he is an animal, beast or pet, anything less then human.
