Raito had never really been fond of the forest.
He preferred wide, open spaces. Fields with less cover, more room to move around. Lightning and trees had never been a good combination, and he always had to be careful lest he accidentally set it on fire due to dry wood and a few stray sparks.
But the Angel continued to trudge along, his normally ruffled appearance seeming more present. He shifted his shoulder tiredly, not from physical pain but weary.
Just coming off a mission, he had already tried to clean up a bit before finding a place to rest, though a small streak of stray blood was smeared across his cheek. Hardly noticeably, but not his own.
A small settlement had been attacked deep into the wood and though it looked like the work of a Proxy, he hadn't seen it. Cleanup. Raito grimaced lightly. Of some former residents that were..to far gone to be saved, mentally. It wasn't the kind of life anyone wanted to live. At least, that's what he told himself.
"Damn.." The Elemental murmured, glancing up at the trees and tried to push it from his mind. He hoped there was a town nearby. Raito wasn't exactly sure why he was bothering to walk but he just didn't feel like flying right now. To much effort.
Tucking his hands into his pockets the boy let out a breath, his spiked, blue-gray hair wavering as a light breeze shook the trees. But then, the Angel's tired expression shifted into a grin at the sight of a few stray, twinkling lights in the distance and the scent of cedar smoke.
"Finally." Raito said out loud and quickened his pace with a bit of skip in his step as the outlines of a few buildings came into view.
He really wanted a drink.

Alas, the Elemental's drink would probably have to wait...
Yes, there was a little bit of a cleanup that had to be done, yes, it was probably the work of a proxy demon...but unfortunately, that proxy was out and about...as Raito would soon find out...and when he found out what it was, well...he probably would be less fond of the forest than he was already. I mean, people tell tales of odd creatures they see in the woods and about things that go bump in the night, but this? This would be deemed ridiculous...
"WROROROROROROL!"
The strangled gargling sound came a little way from Raito's left, the cry of a monster incomprehendable to any. Without any warning, one of the trees in the endless sea of green was felled, falling just in front of the blue haired man. If he had time to inspect it, he would realise that the tree wasn't cut. More smashed out of place with a sort of blunt object. But he wouldn't take that in when what was now before him was present.
He was honoured (or insulted) enough to be in the presence of the Proxy agent of Madness. It's body, as fabled, was made up of a semi transparent pink fleshy substance, a little bit like jelly. You could see its multiple organs through the flesh dotted around randomly: A pair of beating hearts, some lungs, but no brain. On the outside there were three random human arms flailing around atop its back surrounding a rock spine that was about three inches taller than the arms. Its two legs were a pair of steel rustic scythes that it used to 'skate' forwards, it's third back leg a large tree stump that it used to root itself in place. It didn't appear to have eyes or a mouth, but a thick tentacle like appendage that was facing the Elemental, a cluster of about twenty different eyes bunched in on the end of it like a kaliedoscope. The most disturbing parts of its body were it's tail, which was a random vine with some nastily oversized thorns on the outside and inside of it, each thorn about a foot in length and tapered to a nasty spike. The other worrying bodily appendage was two arms that looked like they would belong to a demon, each of the claws gripped around a grim looking battlehammer, the hingeless limbs swinging the lethal blunt weapons around as if they were cheap plastic imitations.
All twenty eyes (twenty six, to be precise) were fixated on the Elemental, it's evil tail swishing and a sort of strained belching noise being expelled from its pores. Was the tree a planned attack or a chaotic mistake? Who knows? What was running through its intelligence? "Ket Mej Yahlan gehrayez boom?" Whatever the being said, it's voice seemed to sound like a question...what it asked, Hell only knew, but those hammers were still swinging violently...Gren M'hizu des K'thumulu Gnaar. Did its name really matter? Did Raito know its name or just its title? Either way, he was in trouble if he responded in the wrong way...what would it be?

Raito heard the grating cry before the tree crashed to the ground, a cloud of dirt billowing up. The Angel shielded his eyes as the dust passed, but narrowed them once he saw the cause of the destruction emerge. So..that had been the cause of the problem before.
The Elemental grimaced at it's..unusual appearance. It wasn't as if he hadn't seen bad things before..it wasn't even frightening, just incredibly unpleasant to look at. Just his luck.
Without a word, the Angel had already drawn his weapons, two tiger's head hook swords. The hilts were framed by sharp, half moon shaped blades, with a dagger like appendage at that end of the grip. The blade's themselves were sharp, and each end curled into a pointed hook.
So it had been a Proxy. He didn't know it's name, and didn't really care. But he could guess at the creature's title..which helped to explain the state of the people who used to inhabit the ruined village.
Madness.
"Wow." Raito murmured and perked a brow, his golden eyes focused on the Proxy. "You..are one ugly sonova'bitch."
But he wasn't going to wait around for the demon to respond. He hadn't understood a word of the gibberish that the ugly thing spewed, but he did catch the last word. Boom. That'd work.
Electricity crackled down his arms, flowing along the blades of his swords. Without warning, a light flared up at the end of the hook, a round, sparking ball of lightening forming with a spin in the curve of a hook. it radiated with heat, and Raito slashed the blade out..but the ball of lightning wasn't aimed toward the Proxy..but at the large fallen tree that it stood next to. When lightning struck a tree, the sap inside was quickly overheated, and as that heat expanded outwards..the tree in a sense, exploded, depending on the strength of the charge.
Which is exactly what happened, in a spray of smoke and sharp fragments of wood.

"You...are one ugly sonova'bitch"
The creature, upon hearing this, gargled angrily, the hammers swinging around slightly faster than usual, one of the human arms randomly detaching itself and falling to the floor with a dead 'thud', crawling around for a second before dying. "Jem ket-kei ugly! Azzan twew!" All of the eyes remained fixated on Raito, so much that in between two of the larger eyes, a small, fleshy sac ballooned itself to the size of a tennis ball, colour flourishing into its iris and becoming a twenty seventh eye. This being's evolution rate was phenominal, as Raito would learn if he watched the birth of the new eye.
The wood fragments and smoke didn't distract the proxy much, a few of the eyes diverting their gaze to the explosion and the hammers repelling some of the wooden shards, although the majority just hit the fleshy, jellylike flesh and bounced out. A few stuck in, but were assimilated by the demon and merged together, now protruding from the monster's 'shoulders' as a pair of crude yet surprisingly well fashioned lances. The demon's voice sounded enlightened, as if that action had answered the afore mentioned question. "Rwlrwlrwlrwlrwl...mej KET yahlan gehrayez boom! Azzan twew, yahlan gehrayez boom! WRYYYYYYYYYYY!!" And with that screeched cry, Raito would learn about the dangerous power of madness in a few...unexpected attacks. The beastsuddenly 'leapt' forwards in a lumbering movement, letting first the left, then the right lance lurch forward in an attack. Just before the first impact, a white gloved hand curled into a fist sprouted on the end of the first lance, making for a sort of punching impact.
Rock...
Swiftly following, the right sided shaft went upwards before striking downwards, an open palm spawning and covering the once lethal point of the spear in a sort of makeshift karate chop that would only cause, like the first strike, a confusing, minor impact.
Paper...
Of course, there was only one attack left. Rock, paper...
...intestine.
The 'rock spine' on K'thumulu's back became soft and deflated like a balloon with its air removed, becoming soft yet muscly and tripling in length before randomly lashing out at the elemental with considerable force, the long appendage capable of leaving a nasty lash mark should it connect...
(Orpheus <3s M'hizu's randomness ^^)
