Name: Unpronounceable to mortals. The closest interpretation is Gren M’hizu des K’thumulu-Gnaaar.
Gender: Indistinguishable. Although in what little information there is, it is presumed male.
Race: Demon (Proxy agent of Madness)
Age: No hope of even an educated guess.
Job: Menace to anything that draws breath
Description: There is no possible written, drawn or told description that could ever hope to accurately illustrate this vile creature, for every salvaged written description or tormented sketch differs from each other. As a result, it is assumed that K’thumulu-Gnaaar has more than one form. Others believe that K’thumulu-Gnaaar has evolved over years, and that its appearance has morphed over the years. Both are both close yet distant from the truth, but here I shall recite the latest reported sighting of the being.
“I hid cowering behind my rock as I listened to it approach. I’ve never been so scared in my entire life. It passed me by as I sat cowering, watching every pound of the...thing’s assorted flesh drag itself out of the cavern. Some of it was scaled, some of it fleshed...slime, armour, spines, bone, and stone...it was a little bit of everything. It’s body consisted of a sort of a purple fleshy substance and was shaped almost like a menacing cloud. It travelled on three legs: Its front two were a pair of metal scythelike blades that it sort of used as skates, although the surface was far from slippery. Its back leg looked unmistakeably like a tree stump with a hoof. It sort of ‘walked’ on its scythes while using the stump as an anchor so it could pivot and turn around. Sprouting from its back were a few random human arms and rock spines that flailed about as it moved, but I couldn’t tell if it was its back or not: it didn’t have a head. How I distinguished this was through the long tentacle that extended from the ‘face’ of the monster, a cluster of eyes on the end of the slimy, snakelike appendage. Its weapon appeared to be an oversized crab’s claw that was dragged behind it, trailing even behind its stump leg, swaying from side to side as if it was on a loose hinge. The noise it made...I cannot hope to repeat it, nor can I find any way of writing it. But the closest I can think of is a sort of strangled gargling over a distorted crackling noise. Whatever this being is, it is totally unnatural. Neither the laws of science nor the creativity of the human mind could ever capture this being’s existence without witnessing it for yourself. I feel both privileged yet disgusted to have seen this being in the flesh/stone/assorted matter, and can only hope that someone may one day find this scribbling in order to learn of this extraordinary demon.”
Personality: Although it is popularly assumed from those who are aware of K’thumulu-Gnaaar’s existence that it is an aggressive creature, its screams, gargles and mind have yet to be deciphered. However, there are madmen who claim to have been attacked, maimed, dismembered, tormented, even flung miles by this odd monster, leading to the assumption that it is indeed aggressive.
History: Not much is known about the origin of the Agent of Madness, but this is the closest tale to the truth that is told, short as it is...
When Lucifer was in the experimentation process of the Proxy demons, he came across a wonderful thought whilst watching sinners suffer in their pits of fire, brimstone and eternal suffering: What really was going through their pathetic minds when they hit insanity point? And could it be harnessed?
He created a new, ingenious chamber known as the Maze of Insanity. Once the labyrinth was created he took certain sinners, lesser demons and evil individuals and challenged them to find the labyrinth’s exit. He promised release from eternal suffering to any who could escape and find the maze’s exit knowing full well that escape was impossible. Countless impure souls entered, got lost in the winding walls and suffered unimaginable horrors; be it a hive of giant killer-bees, a chamber of sound that would explode the eardrums or a pit of acid where abyssal piranhas lived, the subjects could never escape. Through their infinite agony and inability to die along with their wavering hope and fear, the last threads of sanity unravelled in their minds, leaving nothing but minds filled with perfect insanity inside the walls. Allowing the unfortunate ones to fester for a while, they eventually merged together, their bodies, souls and minds becoming one manifestation of the madness that the labyrinth caused. It was the birth of the Agent of Madness.
With evil glee, Lucifer set the newly created K’thumulu-Gnaaar upon the realms of Udonia in a bid to counter the Elemental angels and generally wreak the havoc that it was made from. And up to this day, it still does just that.
Weapons/powers: Utilising the power of madness, K’thumulu-Gnaaar is capable of anything. At what times it is capable of certain feats or devoid of certain functions is totally random. After a sample of an impossibly large mosquito’s proboscis was brought to scientists and wiser beings, it turned out to be a former part of the Agent of Madness. Through studies, scientist made a discovery: The creature this sample came from had an unreal rate of evolution and bodily decay: Where humans would take hundreds of years to adapt to their surroundings and undergo changes, this being could morph within minutes. It could sprout new body parts due to rapid mutation and lose older limbs at a slightly slower speed.
Other: K’thumulu-Gnaaar is capable of speaking seventy-six known languages as well as making up languages of its own.
