Name: Mako Tetsuhana
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Age: unknown (He lost count a long time ago, but appears about 18-20, his grief adding age to his features)
Job: None
Description: He has short spiky sandy blond hair and violet eyes and fair skin. He wears a red bandanna across his forehead and partially covers his left eye. There is a long scar that crosses his eye starting along his forehead and cuts a line down to the middle of his cheek. He wears very simple clothing, a baggy and wrinkled blue shirt, simple leather pants and boots, and a long black cape with a hood. His weapon is the only thing that seems completely out of place due to its looks and how extravagant it seems. His sword is housed in a gold gilded sheath with a black lacquer and encrusted with gems.
Personality: Usually kind, he has a massive guilt complex and wishes to avoid killing at any cost. At times he seems tortured, especially at night before he sleeps and when he wakes up. He tries to avoid making friendships because he knows someday they will die, while he lives on.
History: He was born the son of a wealthy baron in one of the outreaching lands of the Adel'Rozen empire. He knew a sheltered and happy life, not usually allowed to interact with the commoners. Even so, he loved his city and people dearly. At the age of 18 he went playing with one of his servants in the old catacombs under the city. An earthquake had happened recently, and opened a side chamber no one had ever even known existed. Inside was a tomb, surrounded by treasure. Leaning over, Mako, unknowing of the curse of this treasure, picked up a lavishly jeweled sheath with a sword inside. When he came to, his city was in ruins and everyone and everything lay dead and burning. Horrified at the scene he ran, throwing the sword as far as he could. Exhausted he laid down to sleep, only to be tortured by nightmares, seeing everyone he had killed. When he awoke, the sword was in his hand. He ventured back to the catacombs only to find a demon sitting on top of the open tomb, laughing at Mako. Mako stood there paralyzed as the demon told him of his curse, then leaned over and gave Mako his scar. His only hope to save himself from the curse of the sword is to kill that demon. Until he does, he will never age and will be tortured whenever he sleeps to relive the murder of anyone he's ever killed.
Weapons/Powers: Mordrith, the cursed blade. The sword is missing a blade, and on the pommel of the sword is an empty slot where a gem could be placed. By taking a gem from the sheath of the blade, Mako creates an elemental blade. Each blade has its own unique special attack that focuses on its element. The blade also has a will of its own, and if Mako ever lets his guard down the blade will take over and launch him into a murderous blood frenzy. Mako can be seen conversing sometimes with his sword.
Other: Mako can never age, but he can still be killed. The reason Mako doesn't want to die though is the blade will follow him and torture him for all eternity in the pits of Hell if he fails his quest.
