Legend of Udonia
Udonia is a world reborn from Earth, divided into four nations. With its majestic forests, its flowing rivers, its darkened cities, and its breathtaking skies, the races live together as one, bound to a treaty given to them by the fifth power. A legend is told and passed down from many generations. The story of how the nations were bound to this treaty.
As it is told, the four nations each held an object of power, all equal in strength, but manipulated a different part of the world. These were the Fury of Fire, the Calm of Water, the Silence of Earth, and the Breath of Wind. A war had later been fought between the nations in order to gain the possession of the four great powers. But because of their nature, none of them could obtain dominance.
Then finally, the Gods in their despair over watching their children fight over the strength of the others brought forth the fifth power, the Peace of Light.
The peace of light, which bound all life, he used to end the war. He calmed the four powers and had them enter a deep slumber.
The nations left without the driving power of their armies, signed a peace treaty at the point where all four nations connected. On this ground, the nations pledged peace and to forever seal away the four powers of the world, and left the peace of light to watch over them all.
Eons passed and the four nations grew complacent. The powers became legends, then myths, and now all that remains is the story that binds together the nations and their one religion. The elements were protected under secrecy; no one was allowed to speak of their existents. They were sealed away as amulets inside of each nation, protected by the four nations. Their powers are sealed and lie dormant. If any were destroyed it would cause an unbalance in the world of Udonia.
The power of light lies on the island of Ciadona, surrounded by the Lucine Ocean, inside the Finvarra Sanctum. It is told that if the power of light was to fall into the wrong hands Udonia would fall under a hellish state, destroying all that is beautiful. If one without a pure heart was to wield that power the only way to stop it is to kill the one who possesses it.
To protect the Sanctum, the Elvaan race cast upon it a rare magic many years ago. The sanctum was now invisible in day and visible at night. Little know about this magic and has been undiscovered. Many have searched, but none have found it.
As the years went on, the nations have become restless, and even though the treaty was to keep peace, it never stopped the others of the four nations from retrieving these elements all for themselves.
It is said that if one element is stolen from another nation, they possess the elements power but only to a limit. If the user forces too much energy into its power the element consumes them and they no longer exist. If the amulet is close to them during battle it creates an emotion or feeling that was as strong as the one during the war.
In the past, others have tried to steal another nation’s power, but it was always retrieved later on and the person who stole it was severely punished.
This conflict went on for many years and is still happening today.
So, whatever race you become, or whoever you are, protect your nation with all your power. To keep the world of Udonia at peace is your goal. You are free to imagine and create a plot of your own with your characters. This is only the back-story. Our plot is made to keep all Role Players equal. Fire amulet –wield fire, creates fire energy emanating a blast of flame.
Earth amulet –weild earth, control the roots in the ground, blasting large holes in the soil, and is given the power of strength.
Water amulet – weild water,minor healing abilities, ability to conjure water.
Wind amulet –wield wind,able to float in the air and ability to create large gusts of wind.
Dark (if light is taken by an unpure soul) – wield dark,gravity, ability to suffocate or create suffering.
Note: Each element is hidden deep in each nation inside a heavily guarded shrine. It takes a lot of strength to get it.
