Raito's grimaced as his knees buckled slightly under the dark pressure, though he'd be damned if he gave up because of that. He had never been overly competitive, his obvious laziness was a testament to that but hell he still hated to lose. And while their little scuffle had started out as a ..well, not exactly 'friendly' competition..the elemental still felt like he needed prove something, even if he didn't know what.
The Angel felt a moment of satisfaction when his unorthodox head butt connected, even considering Ido's slight distress. Though it wasn't like he was going to apologize for the sparking hit considering that he had been suffocating under the weight of her all-mighty angst.
"Aw shit-" He hissed slightly as she rebounded back with a fierce head butt of her own. He raised his arm to block, registering that his sword was still in his hand and moved it so her attack connected with his forearm rather then the flat side of the blade. It still hurt-like hell but at least it kept him from going cross eyed.
Raito grit his teeth as the dark angel leaned into his sweep and they both went toppling to the ground, a shimmer of sparks flowing around his body as one dark tendril snaked around his wrist, blade on the ground at his side. The boy let out a hissing gasp as her elbow connected with his ribs, and he brought his free hand up, hooking it into the crook of her arm. And with a move a professional break dancer would have been proud off, then tried to roll his body up and to the side, swinging his legs over her in an attempt to pin her down.

Ido knew what she wanted to prove, she wanted to prove that she could defeat the Elementals even when she wasn’t trying, even when it didn’t matter. Subliminally, this little spar was what she yearned for in a fraction of the form she considered necessary. Truth be told, she wanted to eliminate each Elemental out there and start over, save for Kycoo perhaps, who’d never really had a standard to begin with – she’d never met the previous Metal Elemental.
Her head hit his arm, not a particularly effective place to strike she assumed, but it was better than nothing. Falling into the snow, something snapped in her head, her competitive nature shifting to that of mildly wrathful. She’d lost the edge in spite of the position, in spite of feeling a nice little connection between her elbow and his chest.
His little movement was impressive, sure, and she certainly didn’t hamper him; she lay back with a blank face, her position passive as he brought himself up and over, clutching her arm and landing exactly where he’d intended, legs framing her hips. She looked up at him openly with that expressionless face, and slowly the corner of her mouth lifted, her eyes softening. That is, of course, before she jerked her free arm back and sent a surprisingly strong hook to his groin. Her face had flashed from almost contemplative to mocking and distasteful, her eyes narrowed and her arms folding. Still, she didn’t try anything after so far as getting him off and continuing; it seemed the Dark Angel had grown bored to an extent.

Raito was glad that that he had managed to pin her at least and focused his golden eyes at her intently, waiting for her next move.
His brow furrowed in a look of brief curiosity at Ido's sudden change in expression..before his eye twitched and shifted to one of pain as her punch connected.
"Da..dammit.." Raito wheezed and rolled off to the side, onto his back. "Mean..." The Elemental didn't make a move to shift into another, more comforting position (He wouldn't be caught dead going fetal; hell no) and instead decided to take it like a man, or as best as one could.
"Cheap..." He wheezed, though his grimace of pain was slowly shifting into a grin, and his parted breathes into something else.
..Laughter.
On his back in the snow, Raito's body shook lightly as a brief fit of snickers turned into loud, good natured chuckling.
"That was great!!" The Lightning Elemental exclaimed and grinned cheerfully, tucking his arms behind his head as the humiliating pain faded into obscurity. "Most fun I've had in a while." He didn't seem to care about her look of boredom, or in that had chosen not to acknowledge it.
"Those ribbony thingies were cool." The Angel made some obscure gesture with his hands that was apparently supposed to mimic them. "I thought you were going to strangle me for sure." Raito remarked cheerfully, glancing at her.

Ido was so exceptionally happy to see his pride at having accomplished something mold into an utter grimace of pain that she even helped shoulder him off her with a vindictive grin, the widest yet. His guttural gasps were like bells of victory in her ear, and she lifted her chin knowingly as he squirmed, awkwardly reaching her arms behind her and trying to brush the snow off her while she waited for him to snarl at her. Anything that would give her the satisfaction of knowing he didn’t like her would do.
Alright, so maybe it had been a cheap move, but also a necessary one in her eyes. She didn’t feel like going on at the moment, but she also wanted to get the last laugh – that she had, even by means of taking advantage of his weakness.
Then he was laughing. Ido’s gaze widened to an almost comical extent, her mouth falling open as she tilted her head to the side, trying to decipher if he was mad. “That was ... great?” Had that been fun? The Dark Angel tried to remember what the definition of that was, then how this could be used in the same context.
Ido leaned back on her elbows, staring at him blankly, her black hair whipping around her face and shoulders as the winds picked up. Those ‘ribbony things’ were dark matter derived from the evil supplemented by all natural angels – if he’d known this, maybe they wouldn’t have been so ‘cool’. Choosing not to mention this, the entity rocked forwards into a sitting position and glanced over to the Lightning Elemental. “If I wanted to strangle you, Raito, I would’ve done so long ago,” she stated matter-of-factly, the corners of her lips turning downwards at his assumptions.

Her incredulous expression to his reactive was possible even more funny, and Raito couldn't help but send her a silly grin, no matter what she thought. Being constantly serious or clinically depressed wasn't his thing. "Yeah." He spoke. "It was fun, ya'know-" He glanced over at her and pointed to his smile, not seeming to mind that he was still laying flat int eh snow or that some was starting to melt and soak into the back of his clothing. He could easily dry it up with a quick dry charge of electricity. "You still can have that, can't you?" Raito peered back at Ido curiously, the light wind ruffling his hair again. He took in her frown and felt like rolling his eyes, but didn't. "Yeah?" The Elemental chuckled lightly at her response, his arms once again tucked behind his head. "You and a couple of others probably." Then again..he wouldn't put it past her to mean that she had an entirely different choice way of killing him. ((Short, sorry. ><;;; )

She was in two minds about the situation – rip that fucking smile off his face, or try to laugh with him. They say you adapt to your surroundings, and if this was true, she ought to be a trace less vicious considering how much he was grinning. However, all she managed to do was chew on her lip and keep her eyes from narrowing ( a bit of an accomplishment, if I do say so ). Her expression was lax now, and the sinister aura she seemed to carry was considerably lighter. The snow on her own clothing was beginning to seep through, but unlike Raito, she didn’t have heat to burn it off – rather, the most she could do was force a physical matter through the tiny threads and take the water with it. She hadn’t ever tried that, and wasn’t intending to in his presence – if it ripped her shirt off, there wasn’t going to be an audience.
“Yes, I can still have it. My fun is just different than yours,” she replied evenly, shaking the shaggily cut hair to rid it of clinging snow. She merely flipped him the bird in reply to his crude sign language and obvious attempt at humor, but a sly smirk had crept onto her face, and her eyes glittered with calculation.
“Oh ya? Who’d want to kill an innocent little boy like you, aside from myself?” she interrogated, her eyes rolling as she folded her arms, glowering at him with a trace of curiosity that had earlier been absent from her gaze.
